Onlime is an online backup and storage service, and a blog with news and guidance on securing your digital life.
We’re especially here for individuals and SMEs in Denmark, with a Danish service built on data ethics, where your data never becomes a commodity.
Onlime was founded in 2012 by Levi Rauff and Mathias Ditlev and was among the first in Denmark to offer unlimited cloud storage with Danish support. Above 5 TB we reduce the upload speed.

Our vision
Onlime wants to be the preferred local cloud service for individuals and SMEs in Denmark, and in time across the Nordics.
Our mission
We do that with a simple, transparent service: one subscription, support from real people, and a data center that runs on 100% Norwegian hydropower.
Our values stand in contrast to many services, especially the American ones. We do not build our business on using data or knowledge about our users commercially. So users of Onlime never become a product.
Helping you move forward when something gets stuck is one of the most important things we do. We answer in Danish and English, usually within a few hours on weekdays.
Why the cloud
Where there is internet, your files are with you.
More and more of our lives move from the physical world to the digital one. That can raise concerns. But putting your files safely online also brings calm, and backup, once a dull chore, now takes care of itself.
Security online is not a trouble-free subject, and recent years have added more examples of that. But the advantages outweigh the drawbacks: after a hacking attack or virus, affected files can be restored quickly, and with sync your files are available from all your devices.
The automatic backup and sync happen encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS in transit. Peace of mind for the individual user is the goal.

It began with something that was lost.
Onlime was founded by Mathias and Levi in 2012, after they both felt the grief of losing irreplaceable photos and documents. The two friends from upper-secondary school wanted to build something of their own, and no real alternative to the American cloud services in particular existed.
That is how Onlime came to be: a Danish cloud service built on data ethics, that helps you back up, sync and share your files in Danish.
